So wikia has added a silly new "feature": when a new page is created it asks if you want a blank page or a useless template. Well, not only is this a completely annoying and unnecessary new step to creating pages, it also breaks the inputbox extension that is used in the forum and on the delete page system and whatnot. The preload paramter is ignored and the new threads no longer have the navigation and category stuff added automatically.

Also, I use the Monobook skin, but my choice is now being ignored and I get to use this awful Monoco skin instead, regardless of whatever choice I set in preferences. Grand.

I wish Wikia would spend some time fixing their old broken features instead of adding new broken features. --bp 13:54, February 4, 2010 (UTC)

I can't speak to his first issue but I also liked the skin I had and today I find I cannot use it.--31dot 14:24, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
I'm jumping between monobook working, and being stuck with monoco, only slightly more annoying than just having monoco forced on me. Scratch that, it is slightly less annoying, at least I have monobook sometimes. Would like it if Wikia fixed this fast, I find monoco very hard to navigate. --OuroborosCobra talk 16:31, February 4, 2010 (UTC)
In terms of the popup thing, I received an email from Uberfuzzy of Wikia staff that read as follows:
The problem with the preloads and forum pages was an accidental bug, and has been disabled while the fix is applied and rolled out. I've disabled the extension on your wiki directly, so when it is re-enabled globally, it wont come back at your wiki at all.
We're deeply sorry about the inconvenience and confusion this as caused.
Just to let you know. -- sulfur 20:47, February 5, 2010 (UTC)
