Isn't Q the root cause of the anamoly, not Picard?

I realize that the Q Continuum wanted to test humanity (again) in "All Good Things..." and that Q's developing warmth toward Picard led him to "help" by allowing Picard to time travel...BUT...letting him time travel isn't just helping him, it allows him to cause the anomaly in the first place! If Picard couldn't time travel he would /could never have caused it...so I'm not clear on how Q is really helping him--? --162.95.148.251 18:02, July 11, 2012 (UTC)CKS
I think..: The Continuum wanted to see, if and how the human Picard would react to such a time-paradox. Would his limited mind be able to see backwards? Well - at least this or similiar (thin) argumentation must have ben the motivation of the writer.. --213.3.5.65 00:08, September 22, 2012 (UTC)
