I've been hoping for confirmation, one way or the other, on whether T'Pau is Spock's grandmother. I thought she was just the matriarch of his clan/tribe, but not necessarily his grandmother or related to him (Sarek remarrying and all that).

But there was an article outlining famous Vulcans throughout Trek series, and the bio on T'Pau listed her as Spock's grandmother. Unfortunately, the article never cited any of its info, so I have no idea where it's coming from.

So, does anyone know if this is merely a fanon creation or if it's based on canon?
