I'm attempting to write an episode summary for TNG: "Evolution". I have already got the teaser down but I was wondering, how are the acts worked out? How can you tell when one act finishes and another begins and are there always five acts in an episode? Thanks. -- TrekFan Talk 00:20, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Commercial breaks. :) -- Sulfur 00:26, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
If you're not watching a broadcast, but have DVDs instead, it's usually pretty easy to tell where the commercial breaks are... the "fade to black" effect happens. Changes of scene within an act never have black frames in between - except maybe once when somebody lost consciousness in the middle of an act, I think I remember that hapening once, to Chakotay maybe. --TribbleFurSuit 00:37, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Ah, OK, thank you. That helps. -- TrekFan Talk 00:49, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
