I feel like I'm asking Google for support, since I send them so many requests. Anyway, I'm confused as to the functions of each of the preferences under the "Email" section on the General page of the Preferences. Can anyone explain them in more detail? The "Allow ... from other users" is self-explanatory, but the others... --Tuvok^Talk|Contribs 06:44, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

  • E-mail me on page changes = you get an email when a page on your watchlist is changed. (I think, I wouldnt want a mail for EVERY edit, the mail box would be full)
  • E-mail me when my user talk page is changed = you get an email when someone edits your talk page, for you that is User talk:Voyagerfan5761.
  • E-mail me also for minor edits of pages = normally, when someone marks the minor edit checkbox you dont get mailed. This changes that.

Thanks for that. It just seems like there could be more granular control over what gets mailed and what doesn't. Or what is in the email. --Tuvok^Talk|Contribs 06:52, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Today I have received multiple emails about watched page changes and the box for "Email me on page changes" is unchecked. Why might this be? --Tuvok^Talk|Contribs 19:33, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
