What exactly is the suggestion? At the moment, all I can say is that I'd definitely oppose the creation of 36(!) "incomplete episode" categories that would be necessary if "one category per season" is what is being suggested... -- Cid Highwind 22:14, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
That's why I suggested a template that would be something like {{pna-episode|DS9|1}} (for DS9's season 1). Everyone shot me down though.  :) -- Sulfur 00:04, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
I didn't made any clear suggestion in case anyone had better ideas. But what I am thinking is:
- one template ({{pna-episode|DS9|1}})
- a couple of categories. As there are 14 missing summaries in voyager s2, that would be enough for a separate category. However, as there are only about 17 missing summaries missing for enterprise, maybe only one category for the whole series. Categories that are meant to dissapear eventually, but I haven't found anything better to sort the missing summaries.

Using template parameters would either mean automatically creating one category per season (the "easy" way, by just adding a category link like [[Category:Incomplete episodes ({{{1}}} season {{{2}}})]]) or else would mean that we have to add a big switch statement to the template, which chooses from a number of categories depending on those two parameters. Possible, but this statement would need to be manually maintained by someone who checks the number of still missing episodes every once in a while. If maintenance has to be done anyway, why not keep maintaining the list that already exists?
On the other hand, if categories are supposed to be used, do we really need to have a fine classification as suggested? What would be the target group of a category "Incomplete episode summaries of TNG Season 3"? I just don't believe that there's anyone who desperately wants to write an episode summary only about episodes from a specific season of a specific series, and as such, this whole categorization would just be administrative overhead better spent elsewhere... -- Cid Highwind 09:40, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
How about one category per series? According to the Duty Roster, the count is about: tos: 13 tas: 1, tng: 54, ds9: 29, voy: 81, ent: 17. So mostly ok (voyager would preferably need a fine classification, but hopefully that won't be the case in the future). -- Rcog 23:43, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
