I originally added this point to the talk page for Performers with multiple roles, but thought I'd bring it up here as well. Is there/should there be a page that is, in essence the mirror image of "Performers with multiple roles": a sort of "roles with multiple performers", i.e. a list of all characters that were portrayed by multiple actors? I don't mean those characters where multiple actors were in fact part of the character concept (e.g. Martia) but instead characters such as Saavik, Braxton or Christopher Pike. I just thought I'd raise the issue here, rather than simply go out and create the pagein my haste. --Jayunderscorezero 21:51, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

Go for it. Sounds interesting to me. One thing to discuss first would be possible other exceptions, such as more than one actor being used simply because of different ages of the character (i.e. Molly O'Brien). --GO RED SOX 21:59, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

In my opinion, utilising a different actor because of age differences is somewhat similar to the Martia example I gave above, because a different actor is being used because of storyline reasons (the character looks different enough to warrant a separate actor) rather than not-so-obvious, behind-the-scenes reasons such as with Saavik or Kol. However, some might ultimately disagree and decide that all cases of characters being portrayed by multiple actors are valid; who knows? Anyway, I think I will indeed go for it, thanks. On second thoughts, it may be best to include cases where multiple characters are used due to age differences. I've started working on the page, and have come to somewhat of a stalemate already when it comes to characters who blur the lines that I've set up above, such as Zefram Cochrane (is the actor change because of age or something else?). Anyway, the page can now be found (though as yet uncompleted) at Roles with multiple performers. I do intend to add cases of multiple-actor-due-to-age-or-other-differences, but I'm actually going to have to run for now. --Jayunderscorezero 22:54, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
