Articles are often written so that episodes that reference the subject are listed in the subject body and then leftovers are placed below in list form. Am I the only one that finds this less than ideal? I wish that there was a complete list of references or appearances affixed to every article and one didn't have to scan paragraphs of text and mentally add it to the additional list. It's not a big issue, but one I thought could stand improvement. This would obviously cause pages to have duplicate reference links, but I think the clarity of a unified list would override this concern. I'd like to hear others' thoughts on this. Thanks. -- Lt. The way it should work (and occasionally does) is that references are strewn throughout the text to cite portions of it, and then the complete list of appearances should appear at the bottom using the "appear" class. Non-appearances, but references to that character would be marked as such.
For example:
Now, having said that, there's a lot of articles to bring into line with this, and most of them are being done on a very haphazard basis since it is a somewhat painful project to approach. To say the least. :) -- Sulfur 19:13, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, that's enlightening. I still need to learn to use templates instead of freeforming it. I'll just have to learn this too.
