Forrester-Trent Syndrome was a rare degenerative neural disorder. The disease caused tremor on hands and could also cause severe seizures. If untreated, the disease could result in paralysis or death.

Forrester-Trent was a genetic disease and was usually inherited from the parents. However, some cases had been reported in which the disease was caused by a random mutation.

In 2370, neuro-stabilization regimen was the treatment used by Starfleet doctors. The treatment was not 100% reliable, but in most cases the patients responded to treatment well. In many cases the effects of the disease could be even reversed.
