Forest G. Brown (15 October 19493 September 2010; age 60) worked for FASA as an author, designer, and continuity maintainer on their line of Star Trek role playing games from 1983 through to 1987. During this time, he was credited with primary writing and design work on several books including "Federation Ship Recognition Manual", "Klingon Ship Recognition Manual", "Romulan Ship Recognition Manual", and the 2nd edition version of the "Ship Construction Manual". He worked on a number of other books doing addition writing and design work, and some proofreading.
