The flux generator was a piece of equipment in Deep Space 9's science lab. It was a particularly hazardous area.

In 2370, Gideon Seyetik was able to increase the generator's output by at least five percent through a procedure that required him to enter the generator itself. Commander Benjamin Sisko was surprised to find Seyetik in it, as it was possible that he would be killed. (DS9: "Second Sight")
