Spectrum HoloByte was a video game company that published games from 1984 up to the early 1990s.
In 1993 Spectrum HoloByte acquired MicroProse. In 1996 the merged company dropped the "Spectrum HoloByte" brand in favor of the "MicroProse" one. They were later acquired by Hasbro Interactive in 1998. The studio in Alameda, California that once was Spectrum HoloByte finally closed its doors in 1999.
