In 2014, the company released four Star Trek-themed starship model kits as part of its wide-ranging "Metal Earth" model series. A gold-colored model was also released in 2016 to commemorate the franchise's 50th anniversary.
Each model is constructed from two 4-inch square, laser-cut, flat sheets of stainless steel using basic metal-working tools. Once assembled, the models measure between 3.5 and 5 inches in length. Display stands are included.
