- The prop used as a Ferengi phaser was originally designed as a Vulcan weapon for (likely for TNG: "Gambit, Part II") as mentioned in background sourcework. Here it was repainted silver to represent a Ferengi weapon, and would later be seen as a rebel weapon in the mirror universe in DS9: "The Emperor's New Cloak".
