Famke Janssen (*5 November 1965, Amsterdam, The Netherlands) played "Kamala" in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Perfect Mate". This was one of her first notable roles, and her first television role. She would go on to such projects as the James Bond film Goldeneye (1995) where she played the villainess Xenia Onatopp, Rounders (1998), The Faculty (1998) and a recurring role on the television series Nip/Tuck.
She is probably best known for her portrayal of Jean Grey in the X-Men movies, where she acts along side Next Generation actor Patrick Stewart as Professor X.
