FGC-1215 was a star, part of the Idran system, less than five light years away from the Gamma Quadrant terminus of the Bajoran wormhole. FGC-1215 was a central supergiant star with twin spectral class O-type companions, forming a tertiary system. There were no M-class planets in the Idran system.

The Federation obtained its first data of this star system with the 22nd century interstellar Quadros-1 probe. (DS9: "Emissary")
