An Eternal was a name given to a God worshipped by Kelis' species.

In 2376, Kelis, a poet on his homeworld compared B'Elanna Torres to an Eternal, after seeing the extremely advanced technology she used aboard the crashed Delta Flyer, from a dermal regenerator she used to heal herself. While recalling the events that stranded the USS Voyager in the Delta Quadrant, Torres suggested to Kelis that the Caretaker himself was also an Eternal. (VOY: "Muse")
