Escape maneuver one was a defensive maneuver employed by the Romulan Star Empire during the 23rd century.

The only known usage was when the Romulan Commander of the Praetor's flagship, a Bird-of-Prey that had crossed Romulan Neutral Zone, ordered it as a means to quickly flee a comet tail the ship was hiding in. The ship was attempting to evade the Federation starship USS Enterprise. (TOS: "Balance of Terror")
