Erwin H. Kupitz is a Hollywood wig maker within the hair department who worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and J.J. Abrams' Star Trek.

Kupitz received two Emmy Award nominations. The first in the category Outstanding Individual Achievement in Hairstyling for a Miniseries or a Special in 1995 for the television comedy In Search of Dr. Seuss, shared with Danny Valencia, and the second in the category Outstanding Makeup for a Series in 1999 for the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, shared with Todd McIntosh, Craig Reardon, John Maldonado, and Ed French.

Beside his work on Star Trek, Kupitz worked as wig and beard designer on the television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Profiler, and Six Feet Under. His feature film credits for celebrities such as Jeff Goldblum, Vin Diesel, Dustin Hoffman, Beyoncé Knowles, Shirley MacLaine, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jon Voight, William H. Macy, Annette Bening, Antonio Banderas, and Billy Zane include the drama Forrest Gump (1994), the comedy Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995), the comedy Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), the blockbuster Titanic (1997), the adventure The Mask of Zorro (1998), the science fiction thriller The Thirteenth Floor (1998), the crime thriller Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000), the fantasy thriller The Cell (2000), the comedy sequel Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002), the drama Gangs of New York (2002), the musical Chicago (2002), the crime comedy Catch Me If You Can (2002), the remake Starsky & Hutch (2004), the crime thriller Sin City (2005), the comedy The Pink Panther (2006), the science fiction film Babylon A.D. (2008), the thriller Obsessed (2009), and the fantasy film Jonah Hex (2010).

More recently he worked on science fiction thriller Limitless (2011), the thriller A Dangerous Method (2011), and the drama Hannah Arendt (2012).
