Erik F. Stabenau is a stuntman and stunt actor who performed stunts in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and in Star Trek Generations. In the latter film he played a bridge crewman on board the USS Enterprise-D.

Stabenau has doubled for stars such as Matthew Broderick, Gary Sinise, and Sean Penn. In 2008 he received a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the best television stunt ensemble for the work on 24, alongside Justin Sundquist, Dustin Meier, and stunt coordinator Jeff Cadiente.

Among his stunt resume are films such as Men at Work (1990, with Leslie Hope, Geoffrey Blake, John Putch, Tommy Hinkley, and stunts by Rick Avery, Maria R. Kelly, and Noon Orsatti), Beastmaster 2: Through the Portal of Time (1991, with James Avery, Lawrence Dobkin, Michael Berryman, Charles H. Hyman, and stunts by Jeff Cadiente, Branscombe Richmond, and Rex Pierson), Batman Returns (1992, with Vincent Schiavelli, Anna Katarina, Anthony DeLongis, Branscombe Richmond, Diane Salinger, Biff Yeager, Susan Rossitto, and stunts by Joyce McNeal, Spiro Razatos, Jeff Cadiente, Rick Avery, Lynn Salvatori, and Denney Pierce), Forrest Gump (1994), Casper (1995, with John Kassir, and stunts by Anita Hart and Ted Barba), Phenomenon (1996, with Ellen Geer, Brent Spiner, Vyto Ruginis, and stunts by Mark Riccardi, Anita Hart, and Jeff Cadiente), Mars Attacks! (1996, with Paul Winfield), Titanic (1997), Starship Troopers (1997, with Dina Meyer and Clancy Brown), Inspector Gadget (1999), Mission: Impossible II (2000, written by Ronald D. Moore and Brannon Braga), Minority Report (2002, with Neal McDonough, Patrick Kilpatrick, and Dana Dru Evenson), and Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005, with William Shatner, Faith Minton, and Diedrich Bader).

He also appeared in television series such as V.I.P., MacGyver, Beverly Hills, 90210, The Wonder Years, Baywatch, Melrose Place, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and Dharma & Greg.
