Eric Whitmore is an actor who played an Ocampa in the Star Trek: Voyager pilot episode "Caretaker". As an extra, he received no on-screen credit for his appearance.

Whitmore mainly played police officers or military personnel. He graduated with an BA in speech/communication from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He studied acting under Beverly Sanders and action acting (combat and weaponry) under Anthony De Longis. Whitmore appeared in several stage plays and in live shows, including some for Disney at the MGM studios in Florida.

On-screen he mainly appeared in television series, including Superboy (1990), Models, Inc. (1994, episode Ghosts, with Chris Nelson Norris), The Client (1996, episode Damn Yankees, with Emilio Borelli and Pat McGroarty), Space: Above and Beyond (1996, episode Stardust, with Lanei Chapman and Tucker Smallwood), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1998, episode Bad Eggs), Seven Days (1998, pilot episode, with Alan Scarfe, Norman Lloyd, and Jerome Butler), and in different roles in three episodes of JAG (1997-1998, alongside Paul Collins, Jerry Hardin, and Tina Lifford). Other television series he appeared in include Caroline in the City (1998), Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place (1998), Babylon 5: Crusade (starring Tracy Scoggins and Marjean Holden), Martial Law, and Titans (2001).

Whitmore has also appeared on feature films such as Passenger 57 (1992, with Alex Datcher and Bruce Greenwood) and Wilder Napalm (1993).
