Eric Steinberg is the actor who played Paul Porter in Star Trek: First Contact. He later appeared as the Ankari captain in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Equinox, Part II".

Steinberg's earliest known television work was a guest appearance in an episode of the cult science fiction series Babylon 5, starring fellow Trek guest performers Andreas Katsulas and Bill Mumy. Other TV shows he has appeared on include Martin, V.I.P., Pacific Blue, CSI: Miami, Charmed, NCIS, and Stargate: SG-1.

Steinberg also appeared in the film Dog Watch, which was released direct-to-video in 1996. Starring in this movie was TNG guest actor Paul Sorvino.
