Edward Brown, Jr. is the son of Star Trek: The Next Generation director of photography Edward R. Brown. He worked in the camera and electrical department as first assistant camera operator on several episodes of The Next Generation. Brown, Jr. received no credit for this work but is listed on several call sheets.

Brown, Jr. also worked as assistant camera operator on the 1984 comedy Swing Shift with set lighting technician Adam Glick, assistant camera operator Peter Santoro, and still photographer John Shannon.
