Ed McCready (17 February 19305 September 2002; age 72) was an actor who appeared in five episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series. All his Star Trek appearances were directed by Vincent McEveety.

McCready filmed his scene for "Dagger of the Mind" on Tuesday 16 August 1966 at Desilu Stage 10, and his scene for "Miri" on Wednesday 24 August 1966 at the 40 Acres back lot. He filmed his scene for "Patterns of Force" on Wednesday 29 November 1967 on location at the Paramount Pictures lot. He filmed his scene for "The Omega Glory" on Tuesday 26 December 1967 at Desilu Stage 9, and his scene for "Spectre of the Gun" on Friday 24 May 1968 at Stage 10.

McCready was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He first broke into acting in 1964. His career consisted mostly of very small roles such as "Citizen #1" and "Detective #2", but he worked steadily until 1995.

McCready passed away in Los Angeles, California. He was 72 years old.
