Edward "Ed" Hoffmeister is a visual effects assistant editor who worked on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise. On-screen, Hoffmeister was referenced in the Deep Space Nine fifth season episode "The Darkness and the Light".

Prior to his work on Star Trek, Hoffmeister worked as animation editor on the animated television series The Berenstain Bears (1986).
