Ed Charnock, Jr. is a painter who worked in the art department of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Voyager, and at least two Star Trek films.

Several items in Star Trek have been named for Ed, including:

• Charnock's Comedy Cabaret, a holographic comedy club. (TNG: "The Outrageous Okona")
• Chanockian, an element in the Table of Elements. (TNG: "Rascals")
• Ed Charnock, Jr. (Starfleet), a 24th century Starfleet member. (TNG: "Violations", "All Good Things..."; VOY: "Projections")
• Delta Charnock IX, the planet the SS Manila was bound for in 2328. (TNG: "Inheritance")

Charnock, Jr. also worked on the television miniseries of Shogun in 1980 as a painter and on the drama Some Kind of Wonderful in 1987 as a paint foreman.
