An EPS control specialist is an engineer who specializes in maintaining the electro-plasma system aboard a starship. Such specialists were a necessity aboard NX-class spacecraft.

At the time of her death in 2154, Crewman Jane Taylor was an EPS control specialist aboard the NX-01 Enterprise – "a damn good one," according to chief engineer Charles Tucker III. (ENT: "The Forgotten")
