Star Trek: Enterprise - Season One is a Blu-ray Disc release, featuring the complete first season of Star Trek: Enterprise in 1080p high-definition. It was released in North America on 26 March 2013. [1] As all four seasons of Enterprise were filmed in high definition, the series will not need to undergo the extensive remastering process required for The Original Series or The Next Generation.

The set's production was first revealed by Enterprise writer/producer Mike Sussman on Twitter. [2] [3] Robert Meyer Burnett and Roger Lay, Jr., who produced the documentaries and other bonus material on the TNG Blu-ray sets, is taking a similar role in production of the Enterprise sets. [4]

In addition to the list of special features included on the Blu-ray set, an additional fifteen-minute feature entitled "Shuttlepod One: Declassified" was made available to consumers who purchased the Season One set at Best Buy stores. In North America, this feature was only available as a digital download through Best Buy's "CinemaNow" streaming media service, and focused on the making of the first season episode. [5] In Germany the special was made available for a limited time to all (German, Austrian and Swiss only) costumers of their Blu-ray release, though it too had to be separately downloaded at CBS's German home page, Star Trek.de, by redeeming a code customers acquired with their purchase. The German buyers though, had a distinct advantage, as their download was offered in 1080p high resolution, as opposed to the Best Buy customers who had to make do with a poorly encoded low-resolution video file. To customers anywhere else in the world, the special feature was not made available. [6]

Special Feature Shuttlepod One: Declassified, fifteen minute special, featuring interviews with Brannon Braga, David Livingston, Connor Trinneer, Dominic Keating and Star Trek memorabilia collector John Castillo, who restored the full scale mock-up of the shuttlepod. Castillo acquired the mock-up in an after-auction deal, after it went initially unsold as Lot 1549 in Profiles in History's Hollywood Auction 44 of 15 May 2011, where it was estimated at $30,000 – $50,000
