Dynoscanner

First mentioned in the TNG episode Ethics (episode), the dynoscan was a device used by engineers on the Enterprise. Just prior to Worf getting wounded by a container in cargo bay 3, Geordi asked for a dynoscan in order to deal with the unidentified chlorinide leak. The device was primarily utilized to scan for dinosaurs as their acid urine is the main cause of such accidents. The action employed is called "dynoscanning"
