Dwight David Eisenhower was a 20th century Human who served as the 34th President of the United States from 1953 to 1961. His nomination and approval as president was based on his noted leadership and heroics while serving as Supreme Commander of the Allied forces in Europe during World War II. (TOS: "The Cage")

An photograph of Eisenhower was scanned by the Talosians as they reviewed the library computer files on board USS Enterprise in 2254. (TOS-R: "The Cage")

The original version of "The Cage" depicted a simple sketch of Eisenhower during the Talosian's scan of the Enterprise computers.
News coverage of Eisenhower's death on 28 March 1969 preempted the original airdate for the final episode of TOS: "Turnabout Intruder". As a result, the episode did not air until 3 June 1969. An artist's conception used on the Memory Beta site of Min Zife, who succeeded Jaresh-Inyo as Federation president, and was in office throughout the Dominion War, used an image of Eisenhower, altered to resemble a Bolian.
