Duritanium is a type of alloy used as a construction material.
In 2152, Captain Archer ordered Commander Tucker to reinforce a shuttlepod hatch with duritanium alloy so that he could use it as shield against a quarter of a kiloton explosion from a Romulan mine. (ENT: "Minefield")
