The Dunes Hotel (or the Dunes) was a hotel/casino, built in 1955, located in Las Vegas, Nevada on Earth. In the holosuite program Bashir 62, a rendition of 1962, the Dunes was one of the biggest venues along the Vegas Strip.

That year, Vic Fontaine had a table reserved at the Dunes for himself and his lady friends Ginger and Melissa, where they were going to see Shecky perform. (DS9: "His Way")

Following the hostile takeover of his lounge by Frankie Eyes, Vic attempted to get gigs at other local casinos including the D.I., the Sands and the Dunes. None of them returned his calls. (DS9: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang")

The Star Trek Encyclopedia ( (3rd ed., p. 602) included a picture of the Dunes.
