The Dreon system was a star system near the Badlands and Kavaria. It was the location of one of Bajor's outlying colonies, on Dreon VII.

Working for the Bajorans, Kasidy Yates regulary visited the system. In 2372, Kasidy Yates claimed to have made a visit to deliver medical supplies to the Tholians, an oddity since Tholians didn't generally travel so far. In actuality, however, she was supplying materials to the Maquis. (DS9: "For the Cause")
