The planet Draylax was the homeworld of the Draylaxians, a species renowned for the fact that its females had "three...". It was located on the 22nd century trade routes of the Earth Cargo Service, extending outward from the Sol system.

The Enterprise's helmsman, Ensign Travis Mayweather, visited Draylax once aboard his family's cargo hauler, the ECS Horizon. He claimed to have had "firsthand, secondhand, and thirdhand" experiences with Draylaxian women. (ENT: "Broken Bow")

In 2152, Jonathan Archer used Draylax in a geography game he played with Trip Tucker in order to keep him awake while they awaited rescue on the Torothan homeworld. (ENT: "Desert Crossing")

In a scene deleted from "Fight or Flight", Ensign Travis Mayweather also referenced Draylax in a similar game he played with Archer. Mayweather and Archer actually used the same locations as Tucker and Archer later.
Due to Earth's early contact and apparent trade relations with Draylax and hence the planet's obvious proximity to the Sol system, numerous non-canon works like the Star Trek: Star Charts state it to be a member of the later Federation. The Star Charts also indicate that Epsilon Indi is the main star of Draylax.
