The Draken system was an inhabited star system. A Starfleet base was located on Draken IV. The system was located in the same sector as the Calder system and the Barradas system. This sector was located near the Romulan Neutral Zone. (TNG: "Face of the Enemy")

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 45, the star Draken was a Class G star. It had a magnitude of +3, which was 10 times brighter than Sol. This system was located in the Beta Quadrant. In the distant past, about 2,000 years ago, this system was a stop on the Debrune trade route.
