Douglas Adams was a Human Starfleet officer in the 24th century.
In 2364, Captain Adams was named as the commanding officer of the USS Heart of Gold in a mission order. In that year, the ship was on a survey mission of Sector 500/32450. While on this mission, he received a message from the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation employee Dent Arthur Dent. The captain was requested to send acknowledgement of his receipt of the message through subspace com at Security Mode 045, Code 100 Alpha. (TNG: "Conspiracy", okudagram)
