Dornar was a member of Species 571 from the Delta Quadrant.

Dornar and his marriage partner Ansha had one son, P'Chan, who cared for them. Ansha and Dornar were killed in a Borg attack, while P'Chan was assimilated. (VOY: "Survival Instinct")
