Doraf I was the uninhabited first planet in the Doraf system. This planet was a candidate for terraforming in the 2360s.

In 2368, the USS Enterprise-D was scheduled to undertake a terraforming mission at Doraf I, but the mission was canceled and the ship recalled to Starbase 234 by Fleet Admiral Brackett. (TNG: "Unification I")

According to the Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets"), Doraf I was listed as a member planet of the Federation in 2378.
