Donald LaFontaine (26 August 1940 – 1 September 2008; age 68) was an American voice-over artist who provided the voice-over for several Star Trek trailers, including TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds". His first official trailer after "The Best of Both Worlds" was TNG: "The Wounded", and he provided voice-overs for the remaining episodes of the series, as well as provide all voice-overs for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise. ^{(citation needed • edit)}

LaFontaine died on 1 September 2008 following complications from a pneumothorax.
