Diego was a Starfleet captain in the 24th century whose starship participated in the Dominion War battle, Operation Return.
During the battle, Captain Benjamin Sisko told Captain Diego to watch out for a possible flanking move by the Dominion forces. (DS9: "Sacrifice of Angels")
