Actor Dick Durock played the part of an Elasian guard in TOS: "Elaan of Troyius". He went on to play the titular role in numerous Swamp Thing productions.
His career began as a television stunt double in 1965, for Lost in Space, and in 1968 he began playing extra characters, on Star Trek and other series, by the 1970s, eventually playing characters with more substantial parts in series like Battlestar Galactica. In 1982 he played the comic book "Swamp Thing" in a film based on the DC Comics series (written by Len Wein) of the same name.
