Dick Durock (18 January 1937 – 17 September 2009; age 72) was a stuntman and stunt actor who played the part of an Elasian Guard #1 in the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "Elaan of Troyius". He went on to play the titular role in numerous Swamp Thing productions.
His career began as a television stunt double in 1965, for Lost in Space, and in 1968 he began playing extra characters on Star Trek and other series, eventually by the 1970s playing characters with more substantial parts in series like Battlestar Galactica. In 1982 he played the comic book "Swamp Thing" in a film based on the DC Comics series (written by Len Wein) of the same name.
