Chief DiFalco served aboard the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain Willard Decker.
During the V'Ger crisis of the 2270s, she acted as a relief navigator under the command of Rear Admiral James T. Kirk. She replaced Lieutenant Ilia following her elimination by the V'Ger probe. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture)
The part of DiFalco was played by Marcy Lafferty, then wife of William Shatner. In the novel Ex Machina, she was identified as Marcella DiFalco.
