Deviled eggs were an Earth food that was enjoyed primarily by Humans living on the southern part of the United States of America.

In 2371, when the crew of the USS Voyager was transported to the Delta Quadrant, the Caretaker scanned the computer banks of the ship to make the crew feel accustomed to the Caretaker's array, so he duplicated southerners and a sensual southern woman, who asked Tom Paris and Harry Kim if they wanted "deviled egg" while they were looking for the missing Maquis crew of the Val Jean.
