The Detroit Police Department was a law enforcement agency in the city of Detroit, Michigan in the United States of America.

In 2004, officers of the Detroit Police Department arrested Loomis upon being informed of his involvement in the kidnapping of six people. Loomis truthfully told the officers that he had seen "lizard people" and "ray guns" during the incident, and that he was not entirely at fault, but they did not believe him.
