Denys Cowan contributed an illustration to DC Comics' series of Star Trek Annuals, the cover to 1986's TOS volume 1 Annual #2, "The Final Voyage".

Cowan currently works in television production, as a senior member of BET's animation department. He is probably best known for his role in the production of Boondocks and for his work with Milestone Media, a comic imprint focusing on culturally diverse superheroes.
