Dennis "Denny" O'Neil (born 3 May 1939; age 73) is a comic book author and editor. He is very well known in the industry, one he has been working in since the 1960s, primarily for both DC and Marvel Comics. He is well known for his work influencing Batman toward the darker character he is today and his work on both Green Arrow and Green Lantern.

During his time at Marvel, he edited and contributed some writing to the fifth issue of their Star Trek series, "The Haunting of the Enterprise!".
