The Delta Vega outpost was a Starfleet facility on the planetoid Delta Vega. Montgomery Scott and Keenser were assigned to this outpost for six months during the year 2258, at which time the outpost also contained Shuttle 78072.

At one point in 2258, James T. Kirk was marooned on the planetoid by Commander Spock. After Kirk discovered the existence of Spock from an alternate timeline, they traveled, together, the 14km to the outpost. Once inside, Keenser brought them to Scotty, who was angry because he had to eat protein beans for six months. In the outpost's derelict shuttle, Spock from the alternate timeline entered the formula for transwarp beaming. (Star Trek)
