This was an homage to the popular 1960s television show The Man from U.N.C.L.E., in which Del Floria's was a tailor and dry-cleaning store in New York City and the secret entrance to U.N.C.L.E. headquarters. (Star Trek Encyclopedia 2nd ed., p. 492)
