A meteoroid beam is a type of beam utilized by Constitution class starships, during the 2250s, for deflecting meteoroids.
When the USS Enterprise encountered a radio wave coming towards them on a collision course, at the speed of light, it was noted that the meteoroid beam had not deflected it, causing for concern and Number One to suggest evasive maneuvers. (TOS: "The Cage")
